4-Point Projects
These projects are valued at the full 4 points because they require extensive research, organization of ideas, integration of technology, and presentation to the class. The most outstanding presentations will be made during the Marketplace day (TBA), and all other presentations will be made during regular class time (see Mrs. Navo for dates/time).
Mummification Process Slide Show
Research and make a slide show (Power Point, Voice Thread, Photo Story) that describes the process of embalming and making mummies. Provide details, images, and the significance to the modern world.
Egyptian Video
Make a video to explain or describe any of the approved list of topics dealing with Egypt. You will need to write a script, make the movie, and edit the movie (Windows Movie Maker). A copy of the script must be turned in along with your video.
Egyptian Pharaoh Webpage
Research a Pharaoh and give the family background and the important facts of his/her rule on a webpage (Weebly, WebBlender). The webpage will be published to the Intranet for other students to view. See Mrs. Zimmerman for details on how to get started. (http://students.weebly.com )
Egyptian Gods Smart Notebook
Create a Smart Notebook interactive activity to teach your class about the Egyptian gods, their powers, and their role in Egyptian culture. Interactive means that your audience MUST be able to participate during your presentation (question/answer session, matching game, quiz your audience, etc).
Create a Jeopardy Game Board
Using the template, create a Jeopardy interactive game that tests your classmates knowledge of Ancient Egypt. Formulate questions and answers in the style of the popular TV show. Your game categories MUST be from the approved list of topics. The title of this project is the link to the template. Click on it to open. Once opened, save the template to your H:Drive or thumb drive.
ABC Book or ABC PPT
Create a book or PowerPoint presentation of ancient Egyptian topics that cover the entire alphabet. For each letter of the alphabet, choose a topic, write a short description of the topic, and include a graphic (drawing, picture, chart, graph, timeline, map, etc). You MUST cover every letter (from A to Z) and your topics must be historically accurate. See the list of topics to help you get started.
